Being a Woman (Spirituality/Inspiration)

"BECAUSE"

Just because no one has been fortunate enough to
realize what a gold mine you are,
Doesn't mean you shine any less.

Just because no one has been smart enough to figure out
that you can't be topped,
Doesn't stop you from being the best.

Just because no one has come along to share your life,
Doesn't mean that day isn't coming.

Just because no one has made this race worthwhile,
Doesn't give you permission to stop running.

Just because no one has realized how much of an
awesome woman you are,
Doesn't mean they can affect your femininity.

Just because no one has shown up who can love you on
your level, Doesn't mean you have to sink to theirs.

Just because you deserve the very best there is,
Doesn't mean that life is always fair.

Just because God is still preparing your king,
Doesn't mean that you're not already a Queen.

Just because your situation doesn't seem to be progressing
right now, Doesn't mean you need to change a thing.

Keep shining, keep running, Keep hoping, and keep praying,
Keep being exactly what you are already.
BEING A WOMAN OF GOD!!!!

Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

— Mother Teresa, A Simple Path

Food for Thought

I received this by email and thought that I would share. Enjoy.
Happy Friday!

I am thankful:

For the wife
Who says it's hot dogs tonight,
Because she is home with me,
And not out with someone else.

For the husband
Who is on the sofa
Being a couch potato,
Because he is home with me
And not out at the bars.

For the teenager
Who is complaining about doing dishes
Because it means she is at home,
Not on the streets.

For the taxes i pay
Because it means
I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party
Because it means i have
Been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug
Because it means
I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work
Because it means
I am out in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing,
Windows that need cleaning,
And gutters that need fixing
Because it means i have a home.

For all the complaining
I hear about the government
Because it means
We have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot
I find at the far end of the parking lot
Because it means i am capable of walking
And i have been blessed with transportation .

For my huge heating bill
Because it means
I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church
Who sings off key
Because it means i can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing
Because it means
I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles
At the end of the day
Because it means i have been
Capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off
In the early morning hours
Because it means i am alive.

The Galleria

Well, I got to meet Kae and B from Season 4's Biggest Loser. They, along with 24 hour fitness, MSN 50 million lb. challenge, and sunny 99.1 (local radio station) were in Houston, TX on 2/2 and 2/3. It was amazing to say the least. I admired B on television but even more so in person. He was my fav during the season. Everyone that came out was able to meet them in person and ask them questions about their personal struggles to lose the weight. What one has to realize is, even though you are overweight, your challenges are different from the next overweight person. It is a given that you need to lose weight-that is a similarity. It's how you tackle being overweight is what makes everyone unique. I made about five new friends in the line (I was in it for about 2 1/2 hours). At the end of the day, the wait was worth it. In speaking with B and Kae, they were both very upbeat about wanting to motivate others to lose weight. Both of them look absolutely gorgeous and I wish them much success on their journeys. The next stop for MSN/Biggest Loser 50 million lb. challenge will be Miami, FL.

Well, this is my first time trying the blogger thing. I have read a couple of others' information on this site and thought it was interesting to chronicle your life and your struggles (and successes). The internet is a wonderful tool-I started out on the Biggest Loser site and in about three or four clicks, I wound up at blogger.com. I want to try this out and see where it leads.
